I’m K-

Hello! My name is K- and I’m a young professional with an uncommon student story–I completed my undergraduate degree in two years instead of four, and completed my master’s degree in one year overseas. That’s about three to four years saved and at least $60,000 I didn’t have to spend! My experience isn’t the norm, but I’ve learned a lot of useful information because of it–information I’ve decided to share as much as possible. When I was in high school, there was no one to guide me through the complicated (and often convoluted) process of AP tests, college applications and funding. In college, I had to just ‘figure out’ everything from the study abroad process to how to write a cover letter. And I realized that others shouldn’t have to reinvent the wheel.

It all started with conversations I began having in high school. Family friends and their younger children would corner me at gatherings and pick my brain for hours. Then teachers at school started requesting that I speak to their classrooms after school and to host evening Q&A sessions with parents. And I never stopped–through high school, college, and grad school. All the while everyone thanked me weeks and months (and sometimes years) later for how much this-or-that piece of information was invaluable and made all the difference.

So here it is: an entire website dedicated to sharing as much of my experiences and knowledge that I can–things that I wish I had been told along the way to make my life (and my parents’) that much easier. I hope something you find here proves invaluable, too!
